- I am Lauralee Burton Hill. This is a record of the experience I had fifteen years ago when my first child, a little girl, came and then left before I had a chance to know her. My husband and I named her London. She was stillborn. These entries are the story of my journey to healing made possible by the Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - some call us Mormons - and will tell this story from my viewpoint as a member of said church. My hope is that someone else, stricken over the loss of a child, might find some bit of solace in my experience and might find courage to go forward toward healing and wholeness. Even though many years have passed since the birth of my child, this story is still painful to share. I choose to be candid and very honest in the telling, hoping that another parent might benefit. I dedicate this record to my daughters - London Nicole and Lacey Grace, and to my mother, who turned out to be the cherished friend I didn't know I had.
